Hi! Voice Dream Reader has global and document specific settings. In global settings under Manage my voices option you can set the default (prefered) voice for some language and set its speed, pitch and volume. This voice, with all the settings you choosen will load everytime you open the new document in that language. Besides this, you can set document specific settings from the document itself by tapping the Audio Settings button in the opened document window. There you can manage most of the already mentioned settings but it will be applied only to the actually opened document. So, try to check both global and document specific settings and be careful which voice is selected in both places.
