Yes, the Unplayed tab is always selected by default, but it's just a quick tab on the My Podcasts tab to change that after Podcasts opens. If it weren't for SIRI control I would probably continue to use Downcast, but I only listen to about 5 or 6 Podcasts on a fairly regular bases and I just like how I can tell SIRI to jump ahead 68 seconds (just as an example) or back 35 seconds etc.
