Do you happen to know which ones are the most accessible with voiceover?

The one I've been looking at is the Ibridge by Leef. The app for this flash drive has a open in option. I've been exchanging email with there tech support. They tell me that they hope to have this app accessible with voiceover very soon. When this happens, I'll be buying one. Then I can say vood buy to itunes file sharing!

You can access whatever information is on the USB drive, but only via whatever app goes with the drive. You cannot, for example, put music on the drive and then get this music to show up in the music app or, for that matter, even copy it to the internal storage of your iPhone. Ringtones is another example where you either have to buy them from iTunes so they are available on the iPhone or you have to use iTunes to sync them to your phone. The thumb drives are really no different than Dropbox or OneDrive in that they are a way to access files stored on them by the app just as you can access information stored in Dropbox or OneDrive with the Dropbox or OneDrive app. Only difference is that with Dropbox or OneDrive the files are in the cloud and with the USB drives they are physically on the drive which you then have to plug into your Lightning port.

Sieghard

What about those new thumb drives which are supposed to work on both I devices and Windows devices? Can be sure of any of their names (one may have been Istick), but I thought I read they were supposed to do exactly this (with the help of an app which came supplied on the thumb drive).

Anyone know anything about these as an Itunes sync replacement?

Thanks,

Chip

I just wished there was a good third party program to make it easy to transfer content to your ios device. Itunes 12 is much harder to use than itunes 11 was.

Accessible and easy to use aren't necessarily the same thing.
iTunes is accessible, but it can be clunky to get around in. Even sighted folks like to complain about iTunes. I'm a Jaws uer and the times i have to interact with iTunes, I can, but my preference is to do as much as I can on the phone. I will say, it is a good app for organizing your media library at the very least.

I have never used iTunes for windows, because I have a Mac. However, if friend of mine was just told by an Apple accessibility senior representative that window eyes works with iTunes for windows and is the only screen reader which Apple says does that. I know that a few years ago, and it literally has been years, GW micro had been touting this fact. But I know a lot of changes have happened with both window eyes and iTunes since then I suspect that this is the case of apple not keeping their propaganda, I mean their publication, up-to-date. So for you who use Windows version of iTunes and screen readers two questions. One, Is it true, WE users, that iTunes works perfectly well with the latest version of window eyes? And two, what about other screen readers? Do any work well?
Mary
