Hi Krister,

I certainly hope you didn't feel I was "flaming" you; if it came across this
way I want to apologize since it certainly wasn't my intention. I was simply
responding to your statement you didn't get any help on the list regarding this
with examples of helpful posts where people tried to explain what they do. I do
understand that not everybody is created equal and certain tasks are very
difficult for some people. When I was at the German Secondary High School for
the Blind in Marburg, Germany, a girl in my class had such poor O&M skills that
she would get turned around in a 6 foot (2 meter) wide corridor and didn't
realize it. She had hours and hours of O&M training but simply had no sense of
direction or special awareness and it is hard for me to even imagine how this
can be since my sense of direction, balance and special awareness is extremely
good. Of course I had perfect sight for the first almost 17 years of my life
and was a competitive gymnast, horseback rider and recreational skier so
balance is just not an issue for me and even now that I am 49 I rarely hurt
myself if I do take a fall somewhere. Of course when I do hurt myself it seems
to hurt longer than it did 20 years ago *smile*.
Anyhow, if you had sighted help and practiced lots and still find it difficult
I don't think you need to feel ashamed about not being able to do it, simply
use a stand since that should do the trick for you.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hi. Maybe i'm being sarcastic about it because i'm so stupid i don't understand
the instructions given and if so this entire thing is simply my fault and i
will then try my very best to shut up in this matter and not say another word.
And please believe me when i say that this isn't in the least bit ironic or
sarcastic. I have been given help and i'm too dumb to understand your help and
i am truly ashamed of myself and deserve all the flaming i'll get.
