Hi Vicky and everyone else I had been looking into this over the past week, as I’m preparing a short presentation on security for our iPhone Users’ Group. I am ashamed to say 2 Factor Authentication is about the only thing I don’t do and I know I should.
What I would like to know is what happens when you are trying to set up a new iPhone, and are swapping over the sim from the old one? How can you get the authentication code then? Presumably the sim will be in the new device, so you can’t receive the SMS on it because it hasn’t been authenticated. My brain hurts.
