Did you enter “Pizza Hut” under last name or under company name in your
contacts? If you put it in Company Name SIRI won’t find it, I know, it is
unbelievably stupid that SIRI won’t search the company field, but that is the
way it is.
Try putting “Pizza Hut” in the last name field as fwelland all should be as you
expect.
I run into a situation often where I ask, for example, “Call BC Liquor Store”
or “Call Sears”. These are just examples of businesses which exist in many
towns/cities. I live in a small town in northern British Columbia and the next
towns are about an hour away and the next larger cities are 2 and 4 hours away,
respectively. So, I ask to call the business name and SIRI tells me it, for
example, found “BC Liquor Store” in Houston, Terrace, Prince Rupert etc. all of
these are from 40 to 250 miles away and it will finally come to the liquor
store that is half a mile from my house after listing 6 or 8 others first which
are all over the place. If the store is only in my town it has no problems
finding it and it’s yet another example of how poorly SIRI performs in certain
situations where it should work flawlessly.
One thing I just discovered and this must be new (I am running iOS 10 Beta) is
that I can finally ask “What is the battery level” and SIRI will actually
answer and give me the battery percentage. Maybe some who use iOS 9 can try
this and see if it is simply a SIRI upgrade that works in all iOS versions or
if it is new in iOS 10.

Sieghard

Subject: Siri doesn't seem to notice some contacts

I have Pizza Hutt in my contacts. However, when I tell Siri to call Pizza
Hutt, she appears to look for Pizza Hutts on the web. I say this because
instead of just calling the Pizza Hutt that is in my contacts, she gives me
suggestions of places near by. Is there any way I can fix this?
