I run into a situation often where I ask, for example, “Call BC Liquor
Store” or “Call Sears”. These are just examples of businesses which
exist in many towns/cities. I live in a small town in northern British
Columbia and the next towns are about an hour away and the next larger
cities are 2 and 4 hours away, respectively. So, I ask to call the
business name and SIRI tells me it, for example, found “BC Liquor
Store” in Houston, Terrace, Prince Rupert etc. all of these are from
40 to 250 miles away and it will finally come to the liquor store that
is half a mile from my house after listing 6 or 8 others first which
are all over the place. If the store is only in my town it has no
problems finding it and it’s yet another example of how poorly SIRI
performs in certain situations where it should work flawlessly.
One thing I just discovered and this must be new (I am running iOS 10
Beta) is that I can finally ask “What is the battery level” and SIRI
will actually answer and give me the battery percentage. Maybe some
who use iOS 9 can try this and see if it is simply a SIRI upgrade that
works in all iOS versions or if it is new in iOS 10.
