Perhaps someone can write to me off list at vicki.ratcli...@gmail.com to
give suggestions.

Yesterday I had my iPhone 5 on and when taking Amtrak home charged the
phone. When starting to charge it, I noticed that there was not any speech and
I tried to enter the pass code when the screen reader finally worked. When
plugging the phone in to the mac today, it said “iphone disabled” and even last
night after the speech came on, I could not enter a code.

The phone is backed up to iTunes but iTunes does not connect to it using
the mac since I can not enter the pass code. Calling Apple, I learned that I
would have to erase the phone and then restore it through iTunes.

Will voiceover work using recovery mode or what is the best way to erase
and restore the phone. I have not forgotten the code at all but now do not
have use of a phone.

Thanks for any input that you can provide.
