The one thing that Apple TV has over the other cheaper options, like
Amazon Fire, Roku, or even ChromeCast, is that every part of the Apple
TV is accessible. I haven't used any of the others so may not be
totally informed on this. All I know is that with VoiceOver on the
Apple TV, I can access any part of the TV's operating system.

It seems like everyone uses their Apple TV differently. MY wife and I
use it for watching YouTube videos, listening to playlists through
Apple Music, or using the AirPlay feature on our iPhones or iPad Mini
to stream content through our devices and have it broadcast on the
Apple TV. We have thought about some of the movie/TV show apps and are
going to get a subscription to the CBS app on the Apple TV. The iPhone
version of this app is not very accessible, but the Apple TV version
looks to be much better. The CBS app lets you watch current and past
shows that either aired on CBS or that were released on home media
through CBS. We both are excited about this since CBS has a lot of
shows that we would want to watch, like "Cheers," "Family Ties," "The
Brady Bunch," and our favorite current show, "Survivor." Though you
can watch current shows through the network apps, like the CBS app,
for free, you usually have to wait about 7 or 8 days before being able
to do so. Whereas, if you subscribe through the network app, you can
watch it the next day. Some network apps even let you watch things
live through their app, or past or current sporting events. The
subscription for the CBS app is $7 monthly, after the free 7 day
trial.

Another thing that you will find is that no one app has all of the
shows/movies you may want to watch. Yes, Netflix has a lot, but they
don't have everything, jus tlike Hulu or other apps don't have
everything. Also, those apps are adding and removing content all the
time, so their selection is constantly changing.
