I have not been able to do this by turning off Bluetooth. The only way that I
can get the keyboard to become visible is to go into messages, open a message,
and click the more applications button. This seems to work.

Subject: Making the Phone Keyboard Visible When Not Using a Bluetooth Keyboard

Hi, Everyone,

There are times when I use a Bluetooth keyboard for typing emails, messages or
notes and such, and there are times when I like to use the phone's on-screen
keyboard. I know how to make the on-screen keyboard visible from the Bluetooth
keyboard, but when I'm not using this keyboard or when it isn't handy, and only
want to use the on-screen one, it's hidden and I don't know how to make it
visible using the phone itself. Thoughts, anyone? Thanks so much.
