Just another perspective, but I don't think Android is lagging as far behind Apple in accessibility as others do. I use a Samsung S7 now, and I find it just as accessible and usable as I do my iPhone. I can't speak to what other's have experienced with Android, but I think how accessible you find Android depends a lot on how you use your smart phone and which smart phone you end up trying. I'm not trying to convince anyone that Android is better or even as good as IOS; I'm just presenting another perspective.

Guys

Keep please in mind that the IOS platform is the most accessible in the
world for visually impaired people. Android and windows phone systems
are lagging far far behind. They are moving up towards Apple but at a
very slow rate.

Indeed, you are right that we must keep on emphasising Apple to do morre
but each platform could do more. My own private bank has been accessible
for years now till last week their app became really 100% useless you
cannot even login anymore.
The most accessible ios I have ever seen was ios7.1.2 I wish I could
revert to that one! grin Regards

Thanks friend
Someone had to say it.
It's time to revolt against the irresponsibility Apple has been having
in recent years.
Patience also runs out.
And mine is long gone.
note:
I do not respond to fan boys' replies.

It's just my opinion and I'm entitled to it.
cheers.

Hello all, I see the behavior on my iPhone 7 as well. As most of

to do this is to swipe to the keypad button and activate it.

    Hi Sieghard.

I don't have the problem at all on my iPhone 6 s but my friend
has a 7 and she does have the problem.

The problem is that the keypad disappears once the call is
    connected.

It happens if she uses Siri to make the call and it also happens
if she goes in to the phone appp and selects the keypad dials
    the call manually as well.

Once the call connects the keypad disappears.

She is not a good iPhoneuser yet and by the time she fines and
enables the keypad again its probably to late.

My phone does not do this at all.

Its frustrating when you need to tenter touch tones to answer
    menu prompts etc.

Many people have this issue and many don't.

Apple is looking in to it but I don't think they know why it
happens for some and not others.

    Thanks.

    Hi Don and others,

Is this something a lot of people experience? I haven't noticed
any difference on my 6S Plus ever since I started using iOS 10,
I am not using the current 10.2 beta so unless it's a problem
here, what is exactly the issue?

When I make or receive a call I may have to tap to bring up the
keypad, but that has always been the case at times, but most of
the time the keypad is there and I actually have to hide it if
I want access to any of the other buttons.

This is an issue appple is aware of but I suspect they haven't
