Hi Ramy,

I highly recommend you wait until the unlocked iPhone 5 is available to
purchase. Robin's suggestion theoretically should be fine, but at some point
that exact same scenario took place and one of the Today in iOS listeners
called in for advice. He had purchased an iPhone 4S for somebody I think in
Tunesia or one of those countries in Northern Africa not so far from where
you are. In the end AT&T ended up billing them for month because somehow it
wasn't possible to unlock the phone when it wasn't on the AT&T network and I
believe they had to send it back to their friend in the States to deal with
the unlock and then he had to send it back to them. I really don't think you
want to take such chances, buy a minimum $650 phone and then end up paying a
few hundred Dollars more until you may or may not manage to unlock it. Just
wait 3 or 4 weeks and then arrange for somebody to get the phone for you.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hello,

Can't you BUY a LOCKED iPhone from AT&T not under contract @ full retail
price, and then REQUEST that it be UNLOCKED due to the Lack of a contract I
can't SEE any reason why apple or AT&T wouldn't UNLOCK it for you. It is a
roundabout way of achieving the same device as if you BOUGHT an UNLOCKED
iPhone from Apple. This is only a suggestion because Apple has YET to offer
the SALE of an UNLOCKED iPhone 5 @ this point in time.
