Maybe I'll just try iTunes then. I need to try to remember how to set up my phone with iTunes as the last one to be set up with the 4F. Thanks again for the help.

Actually if you do have Apple Music and you have some of your own music which is not available from iTunes, you still need to have this music either in iTunes or on your iPhone so it can get uploaded to Apple. You can use Dropbox or OneDrive to store you music and then use a different app to play said music, I think one of these apps is called CloudPlayer. Having said all this, the latest version of iTunes is actually the most accessible version since iTunes 11 and syncing music is really not very difficult.
