I assume it does, but even at 0% screen brightness sighted people can still
read the screen just fine, it may be more difficult in bright sunlight and it's
not easy when looking from an angle to the side, but if somebody looks straight
at it they can read it. In any case, while keeping the screen brightness down
helps, I never felt it made a huge difference and now I simply turn auto
brightness. If you don't want to do this and still make sure it's easy for a
sighted person to see your screen while saving battery just keep it at 5
% or 8%. Of course people also have to consider the drawback of turning on the
screen curtain, most sighted people will not know how to turn this off and if
you want emergency contact/medical information to be available at all times
turning on the screen curtain effectively prevents this information from being
available to an emergency responder.

Sieghard

I wonder, if you normally have your screen brightness set to 0, does this apply
to the lock screen to?
Thanks, Sandy
