I'll explain to you how I do things. You can't record with the remote
and know what you're doing, so here goes. Dr. G Medical Examiner will be
on discovery life all day on Saturday. I love that show so I want to
record them. I will launch the Uverse app on my iPhone and do a search
for that show. Once I find it I will click on it and click the record.
At that point it will ask me if I want to record the single episode
which is the first in the list or if I want to do a series recording.
I'll choose series recording since I want them all and it will be done.
Cheaters also comes on VH1 this weekend which I record as well. So
Sunday when I want to watch some Dr. G, I'll launch the Uverse app and
find the position of the folder on the DVR. Then I'll use the remote to
get to it and watch the episodes. I can see all of the recorded
episodes, so I'll know how many to count down once I click that folder.
Now my second example. Last year I recorded a movie called Christine
which is based on a Steven King book, but I have no idea how much
counting down I would have to do with the remote and honestly have no
interest in doing that. So I'll launch easy remote on my iPhone and
navigate to that recording on the DVR. Once I get there I can start to
play it and then exit the app. The movie will be playing on the tv and I
can use the remote to fast forward if I want.
