That’s just it. You would have to manually enter who it is going to, then double tap in the message edit box, then you could use the standard dictate feature. But, if yu ask Siri to send a text message to John, you won’t have the chance to use dictation. I don’t know what happens if you hold the home button down and say send a text to john and say xxxxx, and don’t let up until you are finished.
