Here is a line from the AppleVis list of major bugs with accessibility:
When using the VoiceOver Actions Menu to delete a conversation from the
Messages app, it is not completely removed from the list of message threads. In
it's place will be left a "broken" item in the list which VoiceOver announces
as "null." Whilst in this state, the message list will not update to display or
give access to any new messages; to resolve this, you will need to close the
Messages app via the App Switcher. To avoid this problem, we recommend that you
use the "Edit" button to select and delete conversations and not the Actions
menu.

Richard

Hello List, I was wondering if anyone else was having trouble deleting
messages? I go into the message application type out a new message send it. I
backed out of the message and tried to delete it the normal way of flicking to
delete and double tap. When I do that, the message does not get deleted. I I
usually have to double click on the delete button first and then wait a second
and double click again. Just was wondering if anyone else was having a problem.
