Once again, this is/was a known issue which is part of the Applevis article they put out yesterday and which everybody should have read.

I go into the message application type out a new message send it. I backed out of the message and tried to delete it the normal way of flicking to delete and double tap. When I do that, the message does not get deleted. I I usually have to double click on the delete button first and then wait a second and double click again.
