Hi Sieghard. Why not metal? I tried a tooth brush, it did not work. I
tried a q tip, it did not work. I tried a tooth pick, it did not work.
I have a metal pin which I use to remove sim card off my iphone if
ever required. I scraped the inside with that metal pin, what the heck
I had given up on the phone. Lo and behold, it is charging now. I may
have damaged my speaker in the process but the speaker is working even
though it does not sound that great. I may have to use a Bluetooth
headphone set or 3.5 pin jack for wired headphones.
As I said the phone is charging and now I should think of the ways to
avoid such situation again.
Thank you all who responded.
Oh yes. I have an apple store in 30 minutes driving distance and I
could also find iphone repair stores in the neighborhood but I did not
have a ride or patience to use them. How did we live before iphones?
