You won’t notice any lag with bluetooth keyboards, it’s when you use the onscreen keyboards where bluetooth earpieces show their limitations. I know some of you say it doesn’t exist with your Voyager Edge or your Airpods or whatever other fancy headset or earpiece you have, but I have tried many over the years, I have a Voyager Edge and while the lag is not horrible, it’s noticeable. I tried Airpods at an Apple Store with the same result, it’s just the nature of the beast. Maybe when Apple releases new Airpods next year with Bluetooth 5.0 support and a new W2 chip they finally get past that. Until then one other observation I have made is that just because a headset or speaker is new and uses a higher version of Bluetooth such as 4.0, 4.1 or 4.2 that does not automatically mean it has less lag than say a Bluetooth 2.1 or Bluetooth 3.0 device. I experienced this first hand when I bought a quite expensive Plantronics stereo headset which had Bluetooth 4.0 and the lag was so bad that I returned it because it was impossible to use it with Voiceover.

I know that using Bluetooth and typing on a virtual keyboard is sluggish at best. Any input is greatly appreciated. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
