I have hearing losss and quite like the Alex voice on my iPHONE7. It's the best compromise between responsiveness and enjoyability and I use it for reading books quite a lot. However, in some backgrounds where I really need the voice to cut through for me, I prefer the Australian Karen voice. An old but reliable companion. The American Ava voice is also reasonably pleasant.
