It is a full-size keyboard, but I would call it a compact full-size keyboard because there is not as much space between the main keyboard area and the NumPad. On a really full-size keyboard you have your inverted cursor T there and then a bit of space and above that the Insert/Delete, Page Up/Down and Home/End keys, above that you have Printscreen, Pause and Scroll Lock. The K780 doesn’t have that area, it’s probably 2 or so inches less in width, the inverted cursor T is there, but the spacebar is fairly narrow, there is no application key on the right and the lkeft arrow is basically directly to the right of the right Control key and just above it is the full-size shift key. Having said this they keyboard is beautiful to type on and I like the full size NumPad since I just cannot use Jaws with the laptop layout. I just put some sticky tactile dots on the F4, F8 and F12 keys and now I’m pretty happy.

When I got my surface pro earlier this year, the function keys didn’t always work even though I use the setpoint utility. Also, I noticed that the keyboard you referenced has more keys in the A-10 did. It sounds like a full-size keyboard. I won’t up buying Mattias keyboard instead but I still have my Logitech keyboard for when I travel. It’s easy to check that went around that a full-size keyboard. I now tried them and realized that when my laptop is connected (Windows) the first one, next to F12, is the Insert key which also brings up Cortana search, it does not seem to do anything when pressed together with FN, if anybody knows what that might do maybe in another context I’d love to know. The very right key is Delete and when pressed with FN it becomes printscreen. In iOS the Insert key next to F12 brings up the search field as in spotlight search, FN+Delete takes you to the home screen One other nice thing is that when I switch to my iPhone I can just press the spacebar to wake up the phone and then very quickly type in my passcode on the NumPad and my phone unlocks. It is called Setpoint. Once you install it, you’ll run the program and you’ll have an option to change the function keys to function as regular function keys. By default, the function keys by themselves control various laptop functions such as volume, brightness, etc. But this utility should do what you want. I also bought one and was wondering if there is anything one can do if the keyboard is connected to a laptop via bluetooth so that the function keys without having to press the FN key at the bottom left. Currently if, for example, I want to bring up the links list on a webpage or simply get Jaws to speak the time or use any other Jaws Key+Function key combination I also have to press the FN key and since it’s way over on the other side from where the Jaws Key is it is pretty much impossible to do for me since I usually press the Jaws Key with my right hand and whichever function key with my left. I hope there is a solution for this where the function keys work normally and maybe one needs to press the FN key to get whatever other functions are assigned to them such as switching devices with F1, F2 and F3, e.g. I would have to press FN+F1, FN+F2 and FN+F3, otherwise this is a dealbreaker for me and it will have to go back to Best Buy. I bought this keyboard so I can use it as my main external keyboard for my laptop, but also as a keyboard for my iPhone if I am travelling, but it will be primarily a PC keyboard for me which means I need the function keys.
