Hi Mark,
If you are referring to the charger I mentioned for the Apple Watch and iPhone then it is the "Belkin Valet Charge Dock and Stand",, this link is on the Belkin website for $129.95.<http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F8J183-APL/> Interestingly enough I see no mention of the 3.5mm headphone jack which I could have sworn I remember the Apple sales person at the Apple Store showing me, maybe it’s such an insignificant feature that it’s not mentioned although one would think they list it as a feature especially after Apple took away the 3.5mm headphone jack starting with the iPhone 7. Maybe next time you are at your home away from home, Mark, (I mean the Apple Store), you can ask if they have one there and check it out. I am pretty sure Apple’s Lightning iphone dock has this 3.5mm connector in back. I did Google it on Amazon.com and was surprised to see that they say "New (7) from $89.42 & FREE shipping". Even at the current exchange rate that works out to about $112 to $115 which is 30% less than what I have to shell out for it here in Canada. However, when I clicked on this link I got nowhere which maybe is because I am in Canada and Amazon.com knows that and can't ship it here, not sure. This is where you find it on Amazon.com.<This%20is%20where%20you%20find%20it%20on%20Amazon.com.> When I checked on BestBuy.com I found another item and I’m not sure if that replaces the Valet, it is the “Belkin Powerhouse Wall Charger”<https://www.bestbuy.com/site/belkin-powerhouse-wall-charger-white/5507501.p?skuId=5507501> and it’s listed at $99.95. It sounds very similar. Lastly, here is another item for you, Mark, check it out on Amazon!<https://www.amazon.com/Wald-Bicycle-Training-Wheels-16-Inch/dp/B000C128PM/ref=zg_bs_1266043011_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=6ZE7V4VNG0R2QC1J5MFA> *smile* Take care, Sieghard -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of M. That wireless device you described sounds marvelous. Do you have its Amazon item number handy? If so, please post. If not, I'll search for it. Okay, it may finally be time for those training wheels, after all. I once looked at the Belkin charging stand for the Apple Watch which is also a Lightning dock for charging your iPhone and I think here in Canada it is $149 which I think is equally overpriced. I bought a nice stand that is very similar on Amazon for $50 although on that one you have to insert your magnetic watch charger into a pre-drilled hole, but that's not a big deal and in addition to letting me charge my Apple Watch and my iPhone on the dock, it also has two USB outputs in the back where you can plug in say a Micro USB cable for charging most bluetooth earpieces or speakers and I use the second one to plug in my Lightning cable so if I want to use the phone while it is charging I can plug the cable in instead of sticking it onto the dock. The only feature the Belkin stand has which is super nice is that it has a 3.5mm headphone jack so here you can actually charge your headphone jack-lacking iPhone 7 or 8 on the dock and use a 3.5mm headset of your choice at the same time. If you like to use your iPhone primarily with a bluetooth keyboard then this is an even more attractive option. OK, now make sure you don't fall and if you progress to a bicycle don't forget to put on the training wheels *smile* Take care, Sieghard -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com<mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of M. However, it's a very new market and I want to see how the proverbial dust settles before investing in yet more hardware equipment. Baby-steps, my friend, baby-steps. I would put one of these on my night table next to my bed where the iPhone is at night, one on my desk at work where I am sitting most of the day and maybe one in the living room or kitchen. This way if I put the phone on the charging pad in the evening I can use the Lightning headset while the phone is charging. I will have a fully charged phone in the morning, while I'm at work I can put it on the pad on my desk later in the day (chances are I'll still have between 50 and 80% at that point) and again my phone will be fully charged when I go home. If I need to charge it fast or if I want to use an external battery while I'm out and about I can still plug it in and just use a bluetooth headset for these occasions. I just think that being able to charge your phone while it's just sitting on the desk or the night table without having to plug it in would result in me having a fully or almost fully charged phone most of the time and personally I certainly doubt I would miss being able to plug it in and use a wired headset at the same time. For this same reason I would never have bought the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus since with it you don't have a choice. OK, now that is my story and I'm sticking to it no matter what Mark has to say *smile* Regards, Sieghard -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com<mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Alan Lemly Sent: Friday, November 10, 2017 9:46 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com<mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> Subject: RE: A Question About Using the Belkin Rock Star Lightening Splitter Mark, Glad you got a replacement that works. I didn't have this issue with my Rockstar adapter but I thought I'd mention it to give you something else to Tri. Good luck. Alan Lemly Sent from my iPhone > On Nov 10, 2017, at 9:11 AM, M.
