I can’t say I’ve had the problem that you describe. I have always had trouble playing videos in Safari, and that’s prior to iOS 11. Often, there is an alternative that says open in YouTube, which works. But if I do get a video playing in Safari, once it has started, I don’t have the stopping problem that you describe. Mary
