Thank you to those of you who responded, concerning my questions regarding a heart rate monitor. I was able to use the 1 that Andy suggested. That might not be a permanent answer. But it worked for what I needed. I was basically trying to find out if a certain medication was raising my heart rate, like I was thinking it was. So again, I do appreciate the help.
