Subject: RE: apple watch buy or wait?

If you do end up buying an Apple Watch (iWatch is not a word) then don't make
the mistake to buy a second generation watch just to save a few bucks. I have
one because that was what was new when I bought it and I often find it a bit
annoying because it's a bit slow when it comes to navigating the watch, opening
apps etc.
I use mine for tracking pool swims, walks and runs and for that it certainly is
nice and works well.
I know Apple is working with several manufacturers of fitness equipment so that
data from the eequipment is transferred to the iPhone or Apple Watch, but I
have never looked into this yet since I prefer outdoor activities myself apart
from the swimming and the occasional trip to the gym at the pool during the
winter if I don't get out skiing.
The Apple Watch would definitely tell you your heart rate and things like
calories burned if you use a stationary bike, but I doubt it would tell you the
distance, but then again the distance on a stationary bike doesn't really
matter, it's how long and how hard you work out what matters.

Hi, I have just received an Apple series 3 watch for my birthday. I like it
very much. Yes you can do a workout on the stationary bike, you just have to go
into the workout part of the watch and set the workout you can even use Siri to
set it tell her what kind of workout you want and start and stop stop the work
out from there.
You if you have any other questions I’ll be more than happy to answer them.
