I am pretty sure I had muy Colorino for about 20 years and that I bought it in the late 90’s for about $150 US.

It was actually more expensive than this new one, but at least at that time it was the only talking color identifier that was available. I can say that even today it works flawlessly. It actually tells you more than most folks need to know. I have found that when used properly it can determine color better than the actual naked eye. My first thoughts as I was reading the initial message was, “I wonder the price?” When I “read” that (near) $500 price-tag I almost fell out of my chair! Now please understand everybody, I certainly appreciate the information about this new Color Star color identifier. It’s just that I have to ask why these items seem always to be so exorbitantly priced. I realize all about the small market those who might buy such “blind community” products represents and recouping R&D expenses, but I still have to ask that question. ************ - Bill from Ino, Wisconsin - “The Early Bird may get the worm, but the Second Mouse gets the cheese!” - Contributor Unknown On May 15, 2018, at 9:07 AM, Sieghard Weitzel <siegh...@live.ca<mailto:siegh...@live.ca>> wrote: Certainly not a device I’ll buy. That is half the price of a brand-new iPhone or the price of a Sonos Play 5 which I would use a lot more often and given what you can do with one or two apps I can’t see too many people shelling out 500 bucks for that. The LED colour thing is nice, but the odd time I need this I can call somebody with Be my Eyes for free and-probably get better feedback. With some devices like routers or the Sonos it is not necessarily only the colour which matters but also whether the LED is a solid blue or white or if it’s blinking fast or slow etc. Regards, Sieghard -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
