Rob! I, wholeheartedly, agree with what you say. Most of Alexa's * skills
that Amazon wastes its
valuable time on creating are, little short of puerile rubbish, but take that
95% out of the
equasion, and you are left with some very useful information.

Apart from talking radio alarm clock, snooze, sleep timer, reminder, calendar
things; it is a good
and quick calculator even with
the scientific stuff, though she/it sometimes forgets to round to nearest few
digits. Also good at
how far to, what is the
weather/temp in, and other geographic stuff. There is a Wikipedia command for
real information, and
an additional tell me more to
supplement it if she shuts up too soon.
I know there's games, trivia games indeed as well as trivial games, gimmicky
pointless skills and
all. And if you ask for a joke,
well, just remember you asked for it!

Hey guys,

OK, so i got the amazon echo plus. This thing is absolutely wild,
love it! I've got the app running with voiceover. So now the big
question, would be great to get some feedback on what you guys use it
for. I've gotten music working, works awesome, and tried adding
events on the calendar and stuff. Just curious to see some of the
things you guys do with it?
I thought for some reason the echo plus had a batery. 1 of the things
i wanted to be able to do is use it downstairs when i'm working out.
I would guess i'll have to get another 1 if i wanna do that.
