I use 3D Touch for afew things, but I think that a double tap and hold with 1 finger can basically do the same as 3D touch. I will be upgrading--but to an 8 Plus. I have the 7 Plus. I'm going to hang onto touch ID as long as I can. I'm sure that Face ID will continue to improve. I have no doubt that I can use the new gestures, but there's nothing like unlocking with a finger, and the speed and reliability that gives. It's not just blind people who say this; I've heard some folks on TWIT say the same thing, just yesterday in fact when listening to the presentation, one of the commentators said he prefers touch ID over facial recognition.
