When I press the home button it often tells me "try again" right away because it wants to read my fingerprint, if I press the power button it just wakes up the phone and the time speaks.

If you listen closely, it sounds like the speech starts to say the time but then is cut off, usually when the screen turns on, voiceover speaks the first item on the screen which is the time, I just wonder what is different when pressing the power button instead of the home button to wake the phone up.
