I originally used it on windows, and still do. But it is much more accessible on the mac. What this program does, is take your AVI, MKV, and many other formats of videos and puts them in the MP4 format soe that you can put them in to iTunes to be sinked with your I device. For me this was a huge help, since I have over 2000 movies and TV shows that I like to watch, that are already on an external HD, and I didn't want to have to by them again through iTunes. Now I just convert the movies I want, import them in to iTunes, and I'm good to go. No paying for extra data to watch through iTunes match, no spending hundreds of dollars to buy them in iTunes store. Just spending 40 bucks for this program. And when a new version comes out, you get 30 percent off the upgrade. And for those of you who have a DVD collection that you want to rip to your hard drive, I have heard of people using handbreak for this, and even DVD remaster. Personally I have never gotten either one of those programs to work for me. A program I did have success with is called "DVD to AVI" It's made by a company called "Leawo software" Not only does it rip the DVD for you, but by passes the copy write protection with no other apps or programs to install. Don't know how vo accessible it is, cause never used it on the mac. Personally I haven't bought a DVD or rented from the redbox in over a year. I use other resources not fit for this list.
