I'm glad someone is taking this up, but I don't see that a remote for Tivo
would make the system VI friendly, even if sort of workable. Am I wrong here in
my thinking?

Freeview.
Freeview will be the trickiest one in the UK which as I said is our first
market.
Do you currently own or use an IR device to connect your iphone to other
components in your house?
