Hi All, For those who might have been following one of my threads regarding the flashlight on my phone, and because Be My Eyes had to turn my flashlight on my phone through their phone in order to see. Well, I have to admit I feel so embarrassed to even admit this,as it was pretty stupid on my part. So here goes, once again, I called Apple Accessibility, and I told them every time I call Be My Eyes, they keep telling me they can't see anything except complete black, and they would have to turn on my flash through their iPhone. So Apple rep checked it, on my phone by seeing if they could see anything on my kitchen counter. Well, the Apple rep was telling me the exact samething that Be My Eyes was telling me, Janet everything is completely black. The main problem was one of my kitchen lightbulbs directly above my kitchen counter, and where I would hold a product so Be My Eyes could read it to me. Well, low in behold, one of the lightbulbs blew out, and I never even thought about that! De! I felt so stupid, but luckily enough, the Apple rep has a father who is blind, and he said he goes through this quite often with his father! I don't know who laughed more me or the Apple rep! Wow, did I kick myself for that one! Smile! I guess that is what I get for being blind! Although, I kept turning the light switch on, but I just never thought to feel the lightbulb, until the Apple rep said hey Janet how about feeling the lightbulb, and I said oh yeah, I never thought of that. I then had to get a chair and an extra lightbulb, and insert it, and the Apple rep said, hey Janet I can see your whole kitchen! Smile! For those who might not know I am totally blind, and I live alone. I couldn't imagine when my sighted family or friends would come around, that they didn't even say anything about that. I have this one friend who comes over often when she is on break from work, and she is always turning on the other two lights, and raising the window shades, and I just would think wow, some sighted people really need a lot of light, but I didn't need that much light to see when I was sighted! Well, I'm happy that problem is solved! LOL! The Apple rep told me not to feel bad about it, because he also learned something, he didn't know someone else using an iPhone could turn on my flash through another phone. So I want to thank all those who tried to help. Janet Peace Be With You.
