I sure wouldn't worry about causing any problems on the list.  That is what 
is here for.  Besides, you sure aren't the only one that ever had trouble 
with their iPhone.  I have a friend that got so disgruntled with his phone 
that he put it in a drawer for 3 days and refused to touch it.  I can 
remember several years back when I got my first iPhone, I was ecstatic when 
I figured out how to double tap and answer and disconnect a call.

Joshua, you didn't do anything wrong, you needed a lot of help, since you
have something so knew to you. It can be kind frustrating at first  when
you're figuring things out, and it takes a little getting use to typing on
the screen at first, especially when you're filling out information in the
edit boxes, as you were able to get done for your wifi password. If you
could spend time with either a friend or with someone at your verizon store
or even if you have an apple store near you, to just go over some things,
whatever you want to learn about or go over, there's nothing like someone
showing you in person. You've had a bit of a rough start so hopefully things
will get easier for you and you'll be catching on more before you know it.
