Carolyn, what I'm getting ready to tell you may not work, in fact, you may have already tried it already. Hardware and software can be strange and not work, so here's what I had to do with something a bit more simpler, having to do with a bluetooth keyboard. But I could not get that thing to pare and it was setting right in the bluetooth devices. So I turned the bluetooth keyboard off, and I decided to tell the iphone to forget about the device. then I turned the bluetooth on the iphone, off and then back on. and then I turned the bluetooth keyboard back on, and the iphone was ready to pare. It gave me a code to type in on the bluetooth keyboard, and I typed it in, and hit enter and I was done. It began working perfectly then. Give that a try, and if that doesn't work I'll see what I could do to come up with something else. I hope it works for you.
