The original description was a bit fuzzy, but it seemed to fit what I found online.
Someone calls claiming to be from (Microsoft) Tech Support, and says that you are owed a refund for a support call. Their next step is to get you to provide your CC info so they can credit you .... of course that's not *quite* what they're going to do ;> Don't provide personal information to anyone who calls you. Make sure when you call them, you are using a number you have verified. Make sure they represent who they claim ... those of us who don't have M$ products can be pretty certain it's a scam from the start ;> . Folks with windows based systems should keep track of your support calls and charges ... if you never made a call, you aren't really going to get a refund (indeed, I'ver never heard of M$ actually issuing a refund, so that's pretty dubious in and of itself!)
