I agree with Sieghard. I've stated several times, it is focused at people who cannot manage the touch gestures. It includes blind people who cannot do the touch gestures. Where I work, we have several clients who, for a wide variety of reasons, cannot do the touch gestures and so have been limited to either a push button phone, or using Siri or OK Google on Android.
This will be a great thing for them. But, if you can do the touch gestures, don't bother with Voice Control. Or, set it so you can turn it on or off with the triple tap of the home button for specific uses. The one place I can see using it over Siri, is with dictation. Since voice control keeps everything on the device and you do not need internet connectivity, it would be a better way to dictate text. Otherwise, it is an interesting thing to play with, but unless you have a 10 or 11, and somewhat true with the 8's, it is rather slow to respond. I only have gotten into it myself because of my job. I would not use it for anything but dictation on my SE. It just isn't responsive enough.
