It's easy to say just wait and see, but in my case, not so easily done.
My iPhone 6S is currently giving me really crappy battery life, as I didn't
upgrade the battery when I should have, so, now, I have to decide whether to
buy the iPhone 8, or wait for the SE and just change out the battery on my
6S.
I wish I knew that Apple would give me the SE in exchange for the 8 when it
was released, but I don't think they do that sort of thing.

If that new phone is true, then that will be the phone for me, as it
would have the home button. I would need a phone with at least my 256
GB that I've got on my iPhone 8. One thing I love to do, is to listen
to audio books either mp3 ones that I put onto voice dream reader, or
by using the bard mobile app. I'm currently listening to The Grapes
of Wrath which if you haven't yet read, I highly recommend.
