Hi,
Firstly when I employed your method once messages were selected while it reported me a number of messages selected nowhere could I find a delete button on screen and when I flicked down to delete on one of the messages that had been selected it only deleted that message in question. Secondly while it's true that one can employ this method it too turns sorting mail into a multi step process. I.E. instead of being able to go through messages reading those which require it and deleting as one goes now one has to go into edit to select messages for deletion and then go back and read those left for further examination as opposed to being able to use a more streamlined approach as was possible in the past. And as I said when I just did this nowhere did I find the means by which to delete messages once selected in the edit area.
Take good care.
Robin

Until this is fixed, try to tap the "Edit" button at the top right of the screen, then double tap each message you want to delete which should select it, then find the Delete button at the bottom right of the screen and all selected messages will be deleted.

Hi,
Unfortunately I like Richard have this issue and it is a bug in my view and I did report it to Apple Accessibility as such and we did a screen share and he saw the behavior and noted it as such.
Take good care.

Subject: Problem with the native mail app

hello all, I have updated to the latest iOS 13 software, and now I am having a serious problem with my email. It happens with my MindSpring account, as well as my Gmail account I have hundreds of messages. And I just want to swipe up one time on the ones that I don’t want to read and delete them. When I do that it goes back to the very top of the list. No matter where I am, it seems to jump back up to the top. Is anyone else having this issue?
