If you have purchased a new device this fall, including any current-ish phone, iPod Touch, Apple TV, or Mac, then you automatically get the first year free of Apple TV Plus. This was announced earlier this year. Not sure how this will be reflected in the payment area, but I'm sure Apple keeps track of newly activated devices.
