This is for security reasons, but just be aware. You can certainly turn off the passcode, and I have been sorely tempted to do just that when it keeps coming up and asking for it even though I have touch ID enabled. Anyway, good luck. The first heading is "Use touch ID for". Turn off any of the items that are on. The next heading is "FINGERPRINTS". There will be a button like "Finger 1" for each fingerprint you have created. You can double-tap the button. Then you will find a button to delete the fingerprint.
