I find that if it asks for pass code and has that keypad there, I just press Home Button again on my SE and usually get to Home Page - a little easier than six numbers.

This is for security reasons, but just be aware. You can certainly turn off the passcode, and I have been sorely tempted to do just that when it keeps coming up and asking for it even though I have touch ID enabled. Anyway, good luck. This is based on the last version of iOS 12. Go to Settings. Double-tap Touch ID and Passcode. You have to enter your Passcode before you can continue to see the next screen. The first heading is "Use touch ID for". Turn off any of the items that are on. The next heading is "FINGERPRINTS". There will be a button like "Finger 1" for each fingerprint you have created. You can double-tap the button. Then you will find a button to delete the fingerprint. On the next page of Touch ID and Passcode settings, you will find entries for: Turn Passcode off Require Passcode Hope this helps.
