I'm ready to preorder the new SE 2020. I can pay full price thanks to the stimulus check. I've gotten my last two phones from Verizon, but wonder if there is a perk to buying from Apple directly. The price appears the same. Verizon's website says they'll waive the activation fee if I buy online; maybe the same is true if I activate via Apple. Verizon will unlock the phone after 60 days. Apple has helped me in the past when I locked myself out of my phone, even though I didn't have Apple Care. So, is there a reason to buy direct from Apple or is this just a preference thing?
