Yes, Sieghard, that is how I do the on/off now, but I am going to try to hear the phone. Just a quicker way to know it is booting up. Hello, Maybe a sound or vibration would be nice, but I don't think it's that big a deal, after all, if you have Voiceover on it will speak when it's ready. On my 4S that takes about 25 to 28 seconds and I understand the iPhone 5 is faster. If you have it plugged in the double vibration only comes a couple of seconds before Voiceover talks, so it's really of no great usefulness. If for some reason you turn your phone off and on again and Voiceover does not talk, just wait 30 or 40 seconds and then flick the Mute switch, if you get a short vibration you know the phone is on and Voiceover for some reason isn't talking, maybe because the volume is all the way down.
