FYI,

Xfinity Mobile is offering the 64 Gig Se 2020 for $8.33 per month for 24 months
if you swith by May 17. You can get unlimited talk and text plus 1 Gig of data
for $12 per month. deal also includes a $50 gift card. Final cost for the SE is
$200 and interest free. I'll probably accept the offer after I get done yelling
at them for raising my cable bill by $14 per month.

Regards,

Dan

This is where I have to be careful if I order by phone. We have a plan that's
grandfathered in and I don't want to lose that bad boy due to some dumbass
error I might, well probably , would make by not paying close attention. So,
I'll make a practice run or 2 through the purchase website to see how it works.
 Thanks for the heads-up.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

Mike,

I think whether an SE 2020 can be ordered with a carrier SIM card from the
Apple Store might be a function of the type of plan you have with your carrier.
I have ordered from the Apple Store in the past while I had a Verizon postpaid
plan and received my new iPhone with a Verizon SIM card already installed.
However, I switched to a Verizon prepaid plan in late February and when I tried
ordering my SE 2020 last Saturday using the Apple Store app, I received an
error message when I attempted to complete the order when the app went to
Verizon to verify my account info. I was unable to complete the Apple Store
order unless I selected no carrier as my choice which included no SIM card.
I'll simply move my Verizon SIM card from my iPhone 8 to my SE 2020 after I get
it set up and ready to make calls. As I understand it, this will also avoid any
new device activation charge from Verizon which they tried to charge me when I
went from my iPhone 7 to my iPhone 8.

I don't know if this has been covered, but if it has I missed it. Can these
new SE phones be ordered with the persons carrier SIM card? i.e, if I wanted
to order my wife & I SE phones from Apple, can we order them with Verizon SIM
cards already installed? Thanks.

The SIM card has to be a Nano Sim; if the phone is that very old, it probably
won't fit.

You'd have to call Apple or do some web search on the model you have to find
out the size of the sim.

And you will need to go through your carrier to get the SIM card.

I have not ordered my phone yet as I wanted to listen to all the information

as I use other phone services. Will I be able to get the new sim card if I ask
for it from Apple or do I need to order from somewhere else? My iPhone is
probably one of the very first ones out. I am talking very old and will I be
able to use that sims card in the new SE phone until I get a card if i do need
to order from another place?

Technically, the SE first generation and second generation take the same size
SIM card.

However, the new SIM cards are much faster, so Apple recommends getting a new
SIM card with the new phone.

I was told by an Apple staff person that I could set up the new phone with
the old SE SIM, but should then get a new SIM card as the performance will be
much better.

And, the new SE is a Dual SIM phone; as in one physical SIM and one eSIM just
like the 11 and xs/xr phones if your carrier supports the eSIM.
