Hi Mark,

I totally feel your pain. I really like the Digit-Eyes app but have
not used it for years because I can’t get the audio labels to work reliably and
easily.

I have not found Way Around to be a good solution because the tags need
to be ordered and they can be expensive when trying to label many items.
More then that, at least, last time I checked, they were not a audio labeler,
they only allowed for you to enter text. I find this very limiting.

I’m hoping for a better labeling iPhone solution in the future.

One interesting app you can look at that is free is Navilense. I hope I
spelled that correctly. It was recommended to me as a free audio labeling
solution. You print the labels yourself. You can use the sheets you purchased
for Digit-Eyes. They are a unique system designed to work for the visually
impaired. I must admit they worked very well for me. They are designed for
the phone to pick up the label by the camera and do it easily, quickly and even
from long distances.

they just came out with a second pack of free labels. So perhaps this
might be a good solution.

I’d love a NFC solution like Way Around to have an audio labeling option and
maybe an option for use of less expensive third party NFC tags.

I hope this helps. Try the Navilense app and let us know how it goes.
