well I had downloaded the app and that is exactly what they have done in
reguard to the app. I tryed to install the program this morning and had
problems which I have now resolved. I will try the program hopefully for a
better experience.;

Unfortunately, I do not have a modern enough computer to investigate
further. When you told me what it said, I thought Apple had recently divided
it into itunes store, app store, music and videos, as it now is on the mac
and IOS. Apparently not yet.

I'm still running Windows 7 but I have the latest version of iTunes for
Windows and it still allows me to make encrypted backups to my computer and
to do file transfers. I'm not sure what told your friend that iTunes for
Windows only allowed music and videos. That hasn't been my experience.

I have a friend who recently got an IPhone SE who downloaded ITunes For
Windows. He says that it says it is only for music and videos, everything
else is done in the cloud. I know that ITunes, as one large program, is no
longer on the mac, having been divided into separate programs as it is in
IOS. But I thought Itunes For Windows was still the one program. If not, how
does one back up to their computer, file transfer, etc now? Thanks for any
