Hi All,

This afternoon I tried an experiment. I installed and configured both the
Weather Gods app and the app from the Weather channel.

Living in Orlando, I knew we were going to get at least one thunder storm
today. We did this evening when the sea breezes came together as is normal
for this time of year.

I also have a stand alone lightening detector that beeps when it detects a
lightening strike. The problem with it is I can't tell how far away the
lightening is. Anyway, the stand alone detector went off about 8 times and
unfortunately neither app reported a strike of lightening. A couple of them
were really close cause the time between the detector going off and the
thunder was only about two seconds.

So for me, it is back to square one in finding an app that will report
nearby lightening.

Take care all -Steve
