We bought a spin bike last fall and decided to get just a basic model without any connectivity because both my wife and I have Apple Watches which we use with the indoor cycle workout to track time, heart rate and calories. Yes, some bikes keep track of a virtual distance, but who really cares if the bike says you biked 6 miles or 10 miles, I am after a good workout and for that my heart rate and calories burned are more important. I don't know how much you want to spend, but you are better off investing in a good quality bike without a fancy controller which may or may not give you what you want, if anything spend that money on an Apple Watch which you can use for any type of workout not just your bike.
