This is just a possibility, but since Audible was acquired by Amazon, you can sign in with either your old user ID or with the Amazon sign-in. Check to see which one you’re being asked for on the dialog that comes up. I had this issue when they first switched to the new way of downloading books. The irritating thing is, they ask you to authorize your system every time you download a book and that is ridiculous.
